Hush Process

our business.

From our base in the heart of The Cotswolds, we take a customer-centric approach to designing and delivering our competitively priced kitchens. We do this by:

  1. Creating top-quality kitchens as individual as the people who will be using them (we’re guided by our in-depth understanding of engineering and many years of experience in design)

  2. Delivering and installing kitchens in a way designed to minimise stress for our clients (by managing a smooth customer experience all the way from showroom to newly installed kitchen and beyond).

our story.

Our founder, Chris Spink, has been working in the kitchen design industry since 2004, variously as a manager and a designer. He originally studied engineering at university, where he developed his passion for kitchen design.

His unique mix of technical and manufacturing knowledge, allied to his first-hand understanding of the shop floor means he’s uniquely placed to understand every aspect of a kitchen design project and its seamless management.

our competitive prices.

Choose hush and your money will go further than with many of our competitors, because more of it will go straight into your unique kitchen. Here’s how we’re able to achieve our competitive prices:

our size

As a small, local, Cotswold kitchen company, we don’t have huge staff costs, or an executive board and shareholders to pay.

our skills

Thanks to our engineering background, it’s second nature to us to achieve the right balance between engineering precision and cost-effective design.

our marketing

We believe our kitchens speak for themselves, so you won’t, for example, be funding expensive advertising campaigns (even if our kitchens do deserve to be in the limelight).

your story.

Before we get started on your designs, we first like to get to know you and your unique story. After all, you’re the one who’ll be using your kitchen, so it needs to be engineered around you and your needs.

We do this by asking lots of questions… What does your project involve? Is it a new house, a refurb or an extension? When do you want to your installation? How are you going to use your space? For entertaining? Or for your young family? What’s important to you?

Once we have your answers, we’re ready to start designing.

our design process.

We always engineer our designs around our customers. So, when we plan your kitchen, we won’t just be considering the materials and finishes needed to produce a good-looking space. We’ll also be focused on creating a practical, hard-wearing kitchen with everything in the perfect place for you and your family.

For example, have you ever thought about how you make a cup of tea? We certainly will. After all, we don’t want to create a kitchen that requires you to rush from one side to the other with a dripping tea bag, every time you fancy a cuppa.

tailored kitchens

‘Bespoke’ is one of those words that’s bandied around our industry and doesn’t always mean an awful lot. While we’d be delighted to make you a bespoke kitchen, chances are you’ll prefer a highly tailored one. With a tailored kitchen, we’ll work with our existing, curated range and tailor it to suit your space. So, you’ll be able to enjoy a unique kitchen, engineered around you, at a highly competitive price.

bespoke kitchens

Should you require a truly bespoke kitchen, we’ll be delighted to assist you. So, if a hand painted shaker kitchen is not your style, let’s talk, as we love a challenge. After all, if you can dream it, we can make it a reality.

our craftsmanship.

We’re a big enough company to be capable, yet still small enough to care about what we make. So, we blend traditional hand craftsmanship with precise, state-of-the-art manufacturing to create perfect handmade kitchens for our customers.

We employ an array of talented cabinet makers and finishers in our Cotswold workshop, which is nestled in Nailsworth in the Stroud Valley. The team take a huge amount of pride in the work they do and use their many years of experience to produce work of the highest quality.

our responsibly sourced materials.

At Hush Kitchens, we’re a company with sustainability at our heart. So, we act responsibly wherever we can – whether that’s by using our timber offcuts to heat our workshop, or when we’re choosing the materials we work with.

As such, we only work with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited materials. So, we know the wood we use has been sourced from well-managed forests – in fact, you can trace our wood right back to the tree it came from.

And while this decision to use quality, sustainable materials means our kitchens may cost a little more to produce than kitchens made of chipboard or melamine, it also means we make kitchens that are built to last.

So, choose Hush and you can rest assured that, when we’re taking care of your kitchen, we’ll also be taking care of our planet.

your journey.

At Hush we want you to enjoy a seamless, stress-free customer experience at every step along the way, from design to delivery.

01. Showroom

Your journey will begin in our Cirencester Kitchen Showroom (just off Love Lane). Please join us, at your leisure, for a wander around. Or, if you prefer, drop in for a cup of coffee and a chat about your project.

02. Design Meeting

We are pleased to offer all potential customers a free, no-obligation quote. So, we’d be delighted to meet with you to go over your floor plan, discuss initial layouts and make some key decisions with regards to your space and the way you want to use it.

03. Initial Design Proposal

Once we’ve understood what you desire, we’ll present our initial set of drawings, along with a provisional quote. During this meeting, we’re looking to highlight any major revisions that are required.

04. Place Your Order

Once you’re happy in principle, you’ll place your order with us to secure your manufacturing slot. Don’t worry, we can continue to refine the design and specification in preparation for sign off.

05. Design Sign-off

8 weeks prior to manufacturing, we’ll work with you to sign off your final design. It’s at this stage that no further design changes can be made.

06. Manufacturing

All of our cabinets are built to order. So, our team of cabinet makers and finishers will produce your kitchen to our agreed design in our Cotswold workshop. We’ll also order and schedule delivery of your appliances, worktops and accessories to coincide with your installation programme.

07. Installation

We offer a dry-fit installation service, which means our team of experienced kitchen installers will install all of your cabinetry and associated hardware. And we’ll liaise with your builder/tradespeople for any building, electrical or plumbing work, to ensure the smoothest possible installation.

08. Guarantee

We offer a ‘Good Faith Guarantee’. We strive to ensure that all of our customers go on to enjoy full use of their hush kitchen – as it was originally designed – for the lifetime of the product. We don’t believe in over-promising and under-delivering, it’s as simple as that.
