2020 has thrown up some unique challenges for us all. As a result, we’re proud to now offer a Virtual Design service that allows you to have your kitchen designed without leaving the safety and comfort of your own home. Here’s how it works…
We find the best way to kick off a Virtual Kitchen Design project is a quick phone call. So, simply email us or call us to arrange a telephone appointment.
We’ll use this initial chat to get to know you and find out what you have in mind for your unique space. We’ll talk through your architect’s drawings/floorplans, so we can begin to understand the physical space we’re working with. And we’ll ask you lots of questions to work out what appliances and storage you have in mind. For example, are you planning on unleashing your inner Masterchef? Or do you want to build a social hub at the heart of your home?
Once we understand the potential of your space and how you want to use it, we’ll create some initial designs engineered around you and your unique story.
Next we’ll arrange a Zoom* meeting with you to share our initial designs and give you an accurate price for the work.
During this Zoom meeting, one of our designers will personally walk you through your unique design proposal step-by-step via our architectural kitchen design software. Plus, as we find that kitchen design works best as a collaborative process, we’ll also be looking for your feedback during this meeting to help us refine our designs.
Please note: at this stage of your kitchen’s design, our main focus will be on creating a practical and aesthetically pleasing layout. We won’t deal with materials, hardware and colours until the next stage of design.
At the end of the meeting, we’ll agree on a list of next steps. So, we can move forward to producing your final design proposal.
*We find that most of our customers are already on Zoom but if you do need help getting set up, please just ask.
We’ll arrange another Zoom meeting with you to discuss our final design proposal for your kitchen. During this meeting we’ll share our updated designs with you, which will incorporate your feedback from our previous meeting, and we’ll show you full colour renders of what your kitchen will look like.
Then, if you’re happy in principle, we’ll ask you to place an order with us to secure your manufacturing slot. And don’t worry, this doesn’t mean the design process is finished, as we can continue to refine your design and specification until 8 weeks before build, when you’ll need to sign off on the final designs. It just means we know you’re committed to having a kitchen engineered around you.
Of course, if you’re not yet ready to commit (for example, if your project is more than 3 months away), we can continue to work on your design for a small fee that will be refunded against your future order.
